ON NANOBIOTIX'S NANOXRAYTM ANTICANCER TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM
The patent filed by Nanobiotix covers (i) composite particles which can generate free radicals or thermal energy under the effect of X rays and (ii) therapeutic applications of these particles.
These technologies form the basis of the NanoXrayTM platform, which enables the highly accurate, targeted destruction of cancer cells via the use of an extracorporeal energy source (X rays, for example).
Nanobiotix (a spin-out from Bioparc Lyon's Laënnec company incubator) has thus confirmed the maturity of its innovative platform and has committed to the long-term development of this technology.
The company now hopes to protect its invention in the United States.
