LYON-SAINT EXUPERY

INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Lyon-Saint Exupery International Airport increases its passenger capacity.

Lyon-Saint Exupery International Airport (situated at Colombier-Saugnieu to the east of Lyon and just 15 minutes from Bioparc Lyon) has renovated its Terminal 1 and increased the latter's annual passenger capacity from today's figure of 2,536,000 to over 3,000,000. The terminal has also been refurbished to improve comfort levels and ease of use for infrastructure dating back to 1975. New shops have opened, a VIP lounge will open its doors in the near future, more seats have been installed, games for children are now available and Internet access has been provided. The 9-month refurbishment work was coordinated by Madignier-Maucourt Architects and cost a total of €13.5 million. With 79 scheduled routes (49 international destinations and 30 domestic flights), 49 charter destinations and 63 hosted airlines, Lyon-Saint Exupery International Airport is France's 4th busiest airport.
