ISSUES A CALL FOR PROPOSALS
As part of its charitable mission, the Fondation Neurodis has launched its "Research Team Leader/Young Researcher 2009" call for tender. In order to attract young postdoc researchers (from France or elsewhere) and help them establish and run a research group at the heart of the Rhône-Alpes and Auvergne regions' network of neuroscience excellence, the Fondation Neurodis will provide three years of funding for research proposals that match the topics covered in the call. The deadline for e-mailed applications is June 20, 2009.
The Lyons-based Fondation Neurodis was founded in 2007 and covers the field of neuroscience as applied to nervous system disorders and neurological impairment. The Fondation Neurodis is supported by the University Hospitals in Lyons, Grenoble, Saint-Etienne and Clermont-Ferrand, the Claude Bernard University of Lyons 1, the Joseph Fournier University of Grenoble, the Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) and the National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM). The Foundation's three main objectives consist in attracting high-level researchers working on top-priority themes, funding proof-of-concept work with industrial partners and reinforcing international cooperation in neuroscience.
