CLARA
IN THE FIGHT AGAINST PROSTATE CANCER
CLARA federates the Rhône-Alpes region's stakeholders in the fight against prostate cancer.
Following its September launch by France's National Cancer Institute, this year's PAIR integrated research funding program will focus on prostate cancer. The call for proposals will notably seek to improve techniques and strategies for early diagnosis and therapeutic options.
The program's goal is to stimulate all the various stakeholders within the medical, scientific and healthcare communities.
The launch of the PAIR program has prompted the CLARA cancer cluster to create a working group to help candidates structure their applications and develop collaborations.
In 2008, four out of CLARA's six PAIR proposals (on hepatocarcinoma) were approved for funding.
