TWO FALL EVENTS

FOR CATALYSING ACADEME-INDUSTRY COLLABORATIONS

This fall will be marked by two major events in the life science sector in Lyon. Both seek to stimulate academe-industry collaborations.

- On October 16th, Lyonbiopôle will organize its 3rd Collaboration Day at Lyon National Veterinary School. The event will provide an overview of Lyonbiopôle's activities and present the 50 projects that the cluster has accredited and funded between 2005 and 2008.

- Academe-industry collaboration is a key issue in innovation in oncology. After a successful first edition in 2008, the CLARA cancer cluster is organizing its second Academe-Industry Partnering Meeting on Tuesday, October 20th, from 2.15pm onwards at Hôtel-Dieu Hospital. This edition will feature one-to-one meetings between businesspeople, academics and clinicians. In all, 130 academic research groups, 80 clinical departments and 100 companies in the oncology sector have been contacted for this second edition.
