HANDICAP, AGING AND NERVOUS SYSTEM DISEASES:

AN UPDATE ON RESEARCH PROGRESS

The "Handicap Aging Neurosciences" cluster is organizing a high-level conference on research progress in the Rhône-Alpes region and opportunities for better management of disabilities and aging.
The conference will address the following themes:
- sensory, psychiatric, cognitive and motor handicaps.
- multisensory and cognitive disorders (hearing, vision, language).
- early screening for cognitive and psychiatric functions.
- understanding the muscle system
- novel neurotherapies, from high-frequency deep brain stimulation to cortical potential recording.
- the potential of neurostimulation.
- the role of technology in home care for the elderly.
- tissue aging.
